Coral Calcium
There’s been quite a bit of controversy over the topic of Coral Calcium and its benefits or lack thereof. Some people view it as a kind of ‘potion’ from the Fountain of Youth. But Coral is neither a product of the fountain of youth, or a scam. Coral Calcium provides an excellent source of calcium and minerals. For people who are lacking calcium nutrients in their bodies, some stimulating benefits may occur which is what leads them to create this fountain of youth concept.
Most people agree that coral calcium works very well, but how well is still up for debate. The exact method that coral calcium uses to assist the body is unknown. Some say it works by regulating your body’s pH levels, while others claim it has a more homeopathic result. The preferred view is that the interaction between the minerals found in coral plus the fact that they are pre-digested by the coral itself, make it an organic form of calcium that’s easy to digest.
There haven’t been any significant clinical tests performed, so there’s not really any medical evidence one way or the other. Lab assessments do show however, that the mineral content is real and numerous doctors, mostly in the Chiropractic field, now recommend this product to their patients in need of a calcium supplement. And thousands of those patients attest to Coral Calcium’s positive benefits.
And don’t be fooled by some of these vitamin distributors. There’s quite a few herbal supplement manufacturers that claim they have coral calcium in Clinical Grade form. But you should know that coral is a whole food source of calcium and minerals that is not included in the standard grading system. Something that does matter, however, is that more than a grade, it’s the particle size of the coral that counts. Coral calcium has particle sizes ranging between two to fourty-four microns. The smaller the particles in coral calcium, the better they will be absorbed into your system.
Almost all coral calcium products sold in North America are developed from Coral harvested in the Japanese region of Okinawa. Some people claim that Sango coral is the best. Well you might be interested to know that ‘Sango’ is simply local Okinawan terminology used to reference Coral so all Okinawan Coral is actually Sango. What’s noteworthy though is that all Okinawan Coral is ionized. This means that it takes on a positive charge so the ‘ionization’ factor makes it far more digestable than other regular types of calcium supplements.
Informed professionals categorize coral calcium as a very good health supplement. The expectation should be that if you take it, it will support your body like any other beneficial vitamin supplement.
